Shrink scope until success becomes likely within two weeks. Define one behavior to change, one metric to watch, and one ritual to keep. Make the change reversible, cheap, and observable. When results emerge, document the story, highlight tradeoffs, and decide whether to expand, adapt, or abandon gracefully.
Invite two or three trusted colleagues for a short, candid planning session. Share evidence, name assumptions, and assign modest roles. Agree on decision boundaries and escalation paths. Small, diverse groups move faster and notice blind spots earlier, especially when they deliberately rotate responsibilities and invite skeptical but fair voices.
